Chase goals with an AI-powered system
An AI-assisted productivity product that turns long-term goals into actionable daily plans. As the only designer I researched why goal apps lose people, designed the onboarding and the daily flow with gamified follow-through, and built the component system, all with ADHD-related challenges in mind.
My role
- Research into why people drop goal apps: the gap between a big goal and today's first step, and how fast onboarding has to be.
- The daily flow: an evening check-in, a daily score, AI-suggested tasks for tomorrow, and the reward that closes the day.
- A small, strict component system so new game mechanics could be added without redesigning the app.
Closing the day in four screens
The evening check-in is the heart of the product. Today's score takes over the screen, AI suggests tomorrow's tasks one card at a time, and the day closes with a clear “done”, so the next morning starts from a plan instead of a blank page.
- 01

Check-in: one task at a time, with Assist when you're stuck.
- 02

Daily score: completion, timing and success rate in one number.
- 03

Suggested for tomorrow: add or skip, card by card.
- 04

Path done: the reward lands before the app lets you go.
Define the problem before the plan
UX research into where goal apps lose people: the gap between a big goal and today's first step. The answer became a daily score and a plan drafted by AI that the user edits rather than writes.
- 01

A goal starts from why: the motivation sits above the plan.
- 02

AI breaks the goal into a first week of small objectives.
- 03

Each day is a short, editable path, with a chat to adjust it.
- 04

Streak, XP and a discipline score that explains itself.
Simple to use, built to scale
A small, strict component system: cards, chips, progress and score primitives with fixed spacing and states, so new game mechanics and screens could be added without redesigning the app.
